Rink Wizard’s Magic Ice Resurfacer is the easiest way to maintain your backyard ice rink throughout the winter season. Designed to easily and evenly distribute water on the ice pad, so you get a quick freezing and smooth surface every time. Using our Magic Ice Resurfacer will also help you to save water when maintaining your ice rink.

Simply attach your hose to the Resurfacer, turn on the water supply, and starting against the boards drag the Resurfacer around the ice in an even pattern, until the entire surface has been covered with a fresh layer of water - similar to how a Zamboni clears the ice between periods at a hockey game. It is that easy!

Spend less time maintaining your backyard ice rink and spend more time skating – It’s so easy, even your kids can do it!

How to use:

The Magic Ice Resurfacer comes with a hose quick connect that you can use on any watering device later on like a sprinkler or car wash wand, etc.

  1. Plug water hose into hose quick connect.
  2. Make sure the valve is closed on the Magic Ice Resurfacer.
  3. Turn on the hose.
  4. Open the valve on Magic Ice Resurfacer.
  5. Start from the outermost section of the rink and pull Ice Magic at a normal walking pace around the rink.
  6. Circle around the rink moving in a spiral pattern towards the center of the rink, while overlapping the previous pass by roughly 2 to 4 inches (5 to 10cm).
  7. When finished, close the valve on the Resurfacer, turn off the water supply, unplug the quick connect to disconnect the Resurfacer from the hose, and unscrew the hose from the house.
  8. If you will store your Magic Ice Resurfacer and hose in a shed or outdoors you must make sure they are drained properly first as ice formation might damage your hose or the Resurfacer.

 The process should take 10 to 15 min for a 40’ x 60’ rink.
